Saddle Mountain Lookout

This is one of the first lookout locations in the Basin. Bay Brown, a female, was one of the first lookout persons on this craggy peak in 1927.

Various structures have been built on this site over the years, with at least one being destroyed by lightning (1941).

The peak provides an excellent view of Upper Arrow Lake and Nakusp, which lies on the far shore.
