Idaho Peak Lookout

This lookout is probably the most well-known one in the region. Thousands of visitors hike the trails to enjoy the spectacular wildflowers and the panoramic views of Slocan Lake and the mountains of Valhalla Provincial Park.

An informal group of volunteers has been helping to maintain and upgrade the access road, trail and structures since 2002.

Information collected from sign-in boxes indicate that approximately 10,000 people visited the site in 2002, with more than half visiting during August.
